Since October 2022 the County Council has run a project to encourage people to take advantage of surplus food rescue services, which in turn works to reduce the amount of edible food that ends up in people’s household rubbish bins.

This scheme is running from two Community Food Hubs locally, at Shoreham (Fire Station) and Worthing (Charmandean), on just one morning each month until at least April 2027. See the dates and locations on the UKHarvest web page.
